The cuisine in Napa reflects our wine country surroundings. We have everything from Michelin-starred restaurants, celebrity chef restaurants, casual pizzerias, wine bars, pubs and barbeque as well as several restaurants in the San Francisco Chronicle Top 100 list for bay area restaurants. Our cuisine is hyper-local with a fresh and seasonal approach.
We are very fortunate to have a rotating weekly visit from the best chefs in Napa at our Farmers Market. We hope you join us at the Chef’s Demonstrations at 10:00 a.m. each Saturday. Each chef demonstrates how to prepare a dish using our local and seasonal farmers market ingredients. You can watch, get ideas and pick up the ingredients to make it at home. Each chef also provides the recipe and samples of the dish for tasting. The chef’s demonstrations are interactive and you can ask questions, get advice and learn how to make amazing dishes from the farmers market.
Chef Greg Cole is the founder of Cole’s Chop House and Celadon restaurants in Napa. As a local celebrity chef and board member of the Farmers Market, he founded the Chef’s Demonstrations program. He is very active in the selection and recruitment of top chefs to volunteer for our program. The Chef’s Demonstrations are one of the most popular events at the Saturday farmers market. Another board member, Sandra Richardson of Constrained Gourmet, assists Chef Greg with the program.
